Hans Hartung et l'Allemagne
Dès 1935, Hans Hartung quitte son pays natal où la situation économique aussi bien que politique est devenue insoutenable. Il s’exile, trouve refuge à Paris, où il reviendra après l’épisode dramatique de la guerre et son engagement aux côtés de la France dans la Légion étrangère.
Il y résidera et y travaillera jusquen 1973, date de son installation définitive dans sa maison atelier d’Antibes. Naturalisé français en 1946, Hartung nen conservera pas moins des liens
permanents avec les réseaux artistiques et culturels allemands, dans une posture souvent paradoxale.
